DHINDSA ANNOUNCES 6 PERCENT HIKE IN DA
- CASH PAYMENT WITH AUGUST SALARY
- SEVEN MONTH ARREAR IN OCTOBER SALARY
Chandigarh, August 24:
The Punjab employees and pensioners are all set for Rakhi Bonanza with Punjab Government today announcing 6 percent hike in Dearness Allowance that was due from 1 January 2015.
According to an official spokesman the Punjab Finance Department today issued a communiqué under which 6 percent hike in DA that was due from 1 January 2015 would be paid to employees in cash with the salary/pension of August 2015. Finance Minister Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa said that with this rise of 6 percent the rate of DA would enhance to 113 percent of basic pay/pension from earlier rate of 107 percent.
Giving details about the arrears, he said that arrears of 6 percent enhancement due from 1-01-2015 to 31-07-2015 would be paid with the salary of October 2015.
